Hi there! I hope everybody is doing well. I kind of just want to start a little background on us. Like I said before Jason and I were married in the Logan, UT temple about 9 years ago. We have three very energetic children that fill every waking minute of my life. Aubrey, Carter, and Blakely. More on Blake later. We lived in Richmond, UT until a little over a year ago, when we moved to Tremonton. Jason is the manager of the Big-0 Tires in Tremonton and hopes to have his own store someday soon. We bought a forty-year-old home that we have been remodeling...it's been a challenge to say the least. Our family has been awesome helping us.
So...Blakely. It's kind of a long story but I will try to keep it short since everyone probably already knows it anyway. Blakely was born on March 15th, 2008. He was born with TAPVR (total anomalous pulmonary venous return). It's a heart defect, we didn't know he had it at the time so I guess you could say it was a shock. Anywho, he had open heart surgery at Primary Children's about 16 hours after he was born. We were there for about two weeks and so far so good. He did have a feeding tube for the first year of his life but it's out now and we hope to keep it that way. Blake is having a sedated echocardiogram on May 5th, so we'll know more about his heart then. If you want a more detailed explanation or if you have a question, you can e-mail us at jpeav@yahoo.com.
Here a few pics from Easter egg hunts and celebrations. the kids had a great time. At the hunt on Saturday, Aubrey was too timid at first, Carter was too slow, and Blake didn't really care. But they all seemed to get the hang of it after a while.
Well I guess I better wrap things up now, Sarah helped me set up this blog and I'm sure she'll think I'm being long-winded. But I just want to tell her thanks. I hope her and Jared have a great time in Dallas. We'll miss them but we love them and wish them the best of luck.
